Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2019

It’s that time of year again for the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! I’ve covered the sale for a few years now and that makes shopping a little easier. There’s always a lot of hype about the Sale because there are designer brands that rarely go on sale at great discounts! My tips are the same each year – browse your closet and see what you’re missing. Do you need a coat or jacket? Maybe a few sweaters or cardigans or a great pair of boots. The best way to shop is online in my opinion. You get the full selection and it’s easy to browse by category or brand. However, I decided to shop IN STORE this year. There are certain things I want to see in person first. Typically I buy A TON each year, try on and then return what I don’t like. That’s the great thing about Nordstrom – FREE shipping and returns!

So here are the items I have my eye on for this year. {I’ll update occasionally with sizing info as I get it.} I’ll break them down into categories so it’s easier if you’re looking for a certain item. Now keep in mind. This is a fraction of what’s offered. Since I shop the Sale each year, I already own a lot of what’s in the Sale this year. Stay tuned for my Try On Haul Video on my YouTube channel.

Sweaters, Sweatshirts & Cardigans

Each year I buy a few. If there’s a certain one I liked from the year before, I’ll look for it in new colors. I like lightweight sweaters and cardigans personally.

I’m hoping to find some great PJ’s and Loungewear in store. These are the few I have my eye on already. PJ’s make great gifts, too, so stock up now! I added the Barefoot Dreams cardigan to this section because technically it’s considered loungewear. I already own it plus another from a previous year. If styled correctly you can wear it out like a regular cardigan. I wear a size small and they are more fitted so they don’t look sloppy like a robe.

Pants & Tees

I’m really not in the market for many pants or jeans this year. If you are, there are always great buys with the designer denim. I usually pick up a few basic long sleeve tees. These are great for layering. I also have my eye on a new jumpsuit and a pair of dress pants. I think I’ll see more in store.

Shoes & Accessories

I honestly don’t need ANY shoes this year. However, that doesn’t stop me from looking and this year’s selection looks bigger than ever. So we’ll see what I end up with. I have been wanting another pair of rain boots though. I have the original Hunter’s but will definitely check out this version. If you don’t already own a pair of leopard flats, you need some! I already own a pair and love them. They act as a neutral and go with everything! And a great hat and scarf is a must for Fall. Again, these are items I already own from past sales or similar items. I do want this Weekender Bag though! I’ve been eyeing them for months and this is a nice looking one.

I’ll be covering the Beauty section in a separate post, so stay tuned for that! There are some of my favorites back this year plus new items I’m looking forward to getting!
