Sephora Summer Bonus Event

It’s here! The Sephora Summer Bonus Event! VIB Rouge and VIB Members save 15-20% with code: SUMMERSAVE August 19 – 27. In this post I’ll be sharing my favorites from Sephora and I’m breaking it down into categories: SKIN, HAIR and MAKEUP to make it easier for you. I’m also using this post as a reference guide you can come back to if you ever have a question about a certain product.

SKIN

I’d say one of my top recommendations are these tanning drops from Tan-Luxe. Have you tried these? They are self tanning drops that you add to your favorite moisturizer. They have them for both face and body but I chose the body (shade med/dark). These are a game changer! Speaking of self tanners, I’ve been loving this one by St. Tropez for a long time now. Even color and doesn’t smell too bad.

My favorite Eye Cream is a must and I’ve become totally dependent on it. I also love this moisturizer from Drunk Elephant. Have you tried their products? They are made up of totally “clean” ingredients. So nothing that’s going to cause irritation but still packed with all the benefits you’d want. I rely on this acne cream from Kate Somerville when I have a breakout. It’s mild but effective. About once a week or two, I use these Alpha Beta Peel Pads for a chemical exfoliant. But I really love a physical scrub every few days and this one by Lancer has been my go to for a few years now. It’s effective but mild enough for my sensitive skin. If you want to treat yourself, splurge on this mask by SK II. Yep, they’re pricy but totally worth it to use before a big event for glowing skin.

HAIR

I’d say one of the best things to pick up during the sale are hair tools. This curling iron trio by T3 is my favorite. Pricey but you do get 3 interchangeable irons for that price. T3 products are totally worth the money in my opinion. I also have their hair dryer and travel dryer. Another must have product is this volume spray by Living Proof. Seriously gives great volume but is lightweight. Helps your style last longer, too. Their dry shampoo is also my fave. But if you’re looking for a volume spray to add to wet hair before blow drying, try this one from Alterna. I use it when I travel. My two go to shampoos for color treated hair are this one from Kerastase because it’s sulfate free, and this purple shampoo. I’ve tried a lot out there and this one is the best! It’s not drying like a lot of them can be.

MAKEUP

Ok, this is by far the biggest category. I like makeup. I used to be a Makeup Artist back in the day. And for years, that’s what my YouTube channel was based around. So I’ll quickly run down some of my favorites that I use all the time and highly recommend.

The Beauty Blender Pro Cleanser is a must for brush cleaning and of course cleaning your Beauty Blender. It lasts longer than the original size. I’ve been using this contour palette from Smashbox a ton. I like the colors for the face but you can totally use it for eyes as well. Would be great for travel! Speaking of, if you want a smaller palette for travel, get this one from Tarte. I really like the blush and bronzer shades in it for summer. I still love this one from Charlotte Tilbury though. The highlight in it is the best I’ve ever used. I’ve already went through one and onto my second. Some other products I recommend from CT are the lip pencil in Iconic Nude and the Contour Wand.

If you like a powder foundation over liquid, I highly recommend this one from Wander Beauty (shade Medium). They were kind enough to send me some products at one point and I still use this one everyday for touch ups. My current go to foundations are this one from YSL (shade B30) mixed with the It CC Cream (shade light). I talked about both in this post. I also recommend this one from Too Faced (shade nude).

I always set my foundations and I like this translucent powder by Laura Mercier. It isn’t drying and doesn’t change the color of the foundation. I also use her brightening powder to set under the eyes. Speaking of, I’ve recently tried this color corrector from Becca (shade light) and it’s game changing! I know a lot of you already use this product and agree. If you’re looking for a good concealer for covering marks or blemishes on the face, I highly recommend this one from Laura Mercier (shade S3). I’ve been using it for many years.

If you’re in need of a simple eyeshadow palette with everyday colors that take you from day to night, pick up my longtime favorite from Too Faced and you won’t be disappointed. I also recommend this brow pencil from Anastasia (color taupe). I’ve tried others and her colors just match better.

Some other random favorites are the Fresh Sugar Hydrating Lip Balm. I’ve been through countless jars of this and put it on nightly before bed. If you’re looking to splurge on an item, this lipstick by Tom Ford is a nice one (shade blush nude). Totally not necessary but sometimes it’s fun to splurge on a nice lipstick. I also like this liner from Laura Mercier in Plumberry.

Ok, my hand officially has a cramp from typing all of this, lol. So I think you have enough to go on. I hope you found this helpful if you’re shopping the sale and be sure to let me know in the comments what you picked up.

Wish I could find a beautiful foundation that doesn’t transfer on me. They reformulated Doublewar light and after 10 years of the old formula bring my fave I’m on the hunt. Regular Doublewar is too heavy for me. I’m accumulating s drawer full of failed foundations. I set with powder and/or All-nighter spray by UD. Hate to see all my foundation on my phone!! Help!!!
I love your cruise videos, BTW…

Hi there! Thank you! I never hold my phone up to my ear, so I can’t speak for transfer that way. However, I do really like the YSL All Hours Foundation and the Too Faced Peach Perfect for longer wear. Maybe try those if you haven’t already. xo
